ENG// For this project, the artist has been compiling different inner voices regarding the social function of art, the futility of the artist’s actions, contradicting sentiments towards one ‘s own practice and the conflicting relationships with art institutions, creating a collective neurotic artist statement. The performance begins by inviting the audience to read some typed cards with sentences revolving around these matters. Henceforth, the performance is open to the unexpected. “Collapse is a risky artistic proposal in which Marta Moreno Muñoz, an environmental activist with Extinction Rebellion, internalizes the serious climate and civilization crisis in which the planet and the living beings that inhabit it are immersed.”
ESP// Para este proyecto la artista ha estado compilando diferentes voces interiores sobre la función social del arte, la inutilidad de la acción artística, los sentimientos contradictorios hacia su propia práctica y la conflictiva relación con la institución arte, creando una declaración de artista neurótica colectiva. Colapso comienza invitando al público a leer unas tarjetas mecanografiadas con frases sobre estas cuestiones. A partir de ahí, la performance está abierta a lo inesperado.”Colapso es una propuesta artística arriesgada en la que Marta Moreno Muñoz, activista medioambiental en Extinction Rebellion, interioriza la grave crisis climática y de civilización en la que se encuentra inmerso el planeta y los seres vivos que lo habitan”.
